Democrats unveil ‘Women Against Mary’

Democrats are using a new tactic as part of their ongoing effort to target Rep. Mary Bono Mack.

During a protest in Palm Springs Thursday and on Facebook, Democrats have dubbed the effort “Women Against Mary.”

Their focus comes just days after Bono Mack announced she will serve as chairwoman for the House’s new Women’s Policy Committee.

Bono Mack, a Palm Springs Republican, came up with the idea of the caucus last year.

The group includes 24 Republican women and aims to raise “the profile of GOP women in their roles as lawmakers, highlighting their diverse achievements and providing a unique, unified voice on a wide range of critically important issues,” according to Bono Mack’s office.
