Rep. Jerry Lewis is throwing his support behind Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney.
Lewis, a Redlands Republican who represents Desert Hot Springs, was one of three Southern California lawmakers whose endorsements were announced by Romney’s campaign today.
Reps. Ken Calvert and Brian Bilbray are also supporting the former governor of Massachusetts.
“Mitt Romney has the conservative credentials to lead our economy out of this recession,” Lewis said in today’s campaign statement.
“His experience in the business world gives him a keen understanding of our economy and of job creation. He is the best prepared to take on President Obama and turn around our economy.”
In June, Rep. Mary Bono Mack, a Palm Springs Republican, announced her support for Romney’s presidential campaign.
