While most of us are focusing on Tuesday’s local elections, national Democrats are already turning to the focus on the 2012 race.
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee kicked off its year-long countdown today with radio ads in districts they feel are competitive.
Not surprisingly, the national campaign will target Rep. Mary Bono Mack, a Palm Springs Republican who will seek reelection in the newly drawn 36th Congressional District.
The DCCC campaign also includes online advertising as well as live and automated phone calls to voters.
The radio ads do not mention physician Raul Ruiz, who is the only Democrat who has announced a 2012 campaign.
Next year’s general election will be held on Nov. 6, 2012.
